Esther E Yungtum

Esther E. Yungtum, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls of natural causes. She was born April 10, 1922 in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Ida (Nolte) Moeller. Esther was baptized and confirmed at St. Peters Evangelical Church in Tripoli, Iowa. She married Willard Yungtum on February 19, 1944 in San Bernardino, California. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1990.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Larry) Dufel, of Dike, Iowa; three grandchildren, Michael (Melissa) Dufel of Cedar Falls, Kelly (Brian) Breuner of Ankeny, Iowa, and Laura (Kevin) Willms of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; four great grandchildren, Andrew Breuner, Kaleb Dufel, Evan Dufel and Allie Breuner, and two sisters, Irene Schuldt of Readlyn, Iowa and Grace Buhr of Oelwein, Iowa.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents and husband, three brothers, Leslie, John, and Lawrence Moeller, and a sister, Bertha Schumudlach.

Services will be 10:30 am Thursday, March 4, 2010, at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, both in Sumner, Iowa. Visitation will be 4—8:00 pm Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church in Sumner.
