ESTHER KATHERINE JACOBSON was born January 24, 1911 in Brayton, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Cecilia (Thompson) Rasmussen. She married LeRoy Jacobson, they were later divorced. Esther died on Thursday, September 24, 1998 at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa at the age of 87 years.
She is survived by one son, Donald L. Jabobson of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Leota Oberheu of Waterloo and Loreen Frisch of Cedar Falls; ten grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Carrie Nelsen and three brothers, Elmer, Raymond and Ted Rasmussen.
Services were held September 28, 1998 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials were directed to the family.
