Esther L Fleshner
October 9, 1928 — April 1, 2010
Survivors include three sons, Lloyd (Cheryl Dahl), of Decorah, Darwin (Sara), of Cedar Falls, and Phillip (Connie), of Janesville; two daughters, Carmen Shoemaker and Susan Springer, both of Waterloo, 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Shoemaker of Cedar Falls and Vera (Glen) Shaner, of Parma, Idaho; and two sisters-in-law, Doris White of Clarksville and Darlys (Mervin) VanTiger, of Mengha, Minnesota.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers-in-law, Merle Shoemaker and Harold White.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Open Bible Church, Waverly, with interment in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls. Public visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family. She greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends and played in local pool leagues for many years. Esther will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
