Erna Jorgensen

Erna Jorgensen, 78, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Sartori Memorial Hospital. She was born September 4, 1931, at Racine, Wisconsin, the daughter of Ludwig and Dagny (Petersen) Thomsen. Erna graduated from Washington Park High School in Racine and  attended Dana College in Blair, Nebraska.   She married Jerry Jorgensen September 6, 1952 in Racine, Wisconsin.

Erna is survived by her husband, Jerry, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Jeff (Jacque) Jorgensen of Cedar Falls, and Tom Jorgensen, of Des Moines; two daughters, Laurie (Brent) Wightman, of Waverly, and Lisa (Martin) Schwab, of Broomfield, Colorado; nine grandchildren and one brother Olaw Thomsen, of Racine, Wisconsin.

Erna was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Peter Thomsen and one sister Esther Rayner .

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Nazareth Lutheran church. Visitation will be 4—7 p.m. Tuesday, July 27,2010, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before services on Wednesday at the Church.  Memorials may be directed to Christian Crusaders and Cedar Valley Hospice.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
