EMILY MAE FROST was born February 18, 1930, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Emil M. and Lula Mae (Engle) Hanna. She married Delmer C. Boyer, and he preceded her in death in 1977. Emily married Dale F. Frost on July 28, 1967 in Galena, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1992. Emily was a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years at both Windsor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Falls, and the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, retiring in 1999. She died Monday, April 23, 2001, at her home in Cedar Falls, at 71 years of age.
Emily is survived by her three sons, Larry Boyer and his wife Rashelle of Cedar Falls, Jim Boyer of Cedar Falls, and Greg Boyer and his wife Tammy of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Michelle Bisbee and her husband Scot of Waterloo, and Marcy Frost of Cedar Falls; ten grandchildren, Brian and Blue Boyer, Shenita Barnes, Guy Boyer, Skyler and Lindsey Boyer, Timothy Frost, Cody Figi, Jennifer Abkes and Gordon Abkes; eight great-grandchildren and her special friend, Les Kalvig of Ionia, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands and her parents, and her four brothers, Howard, Everett, Vernon and Percy Hanna.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 26 at the funeral home. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
