ELSIE L.
STRAUBE, 90, died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at her home at Janesville, Iowa. She was born June 23, 1915 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the daughter of William and Sophie (Brandhorst) Andorf. Elsie married Richard S. Straube on June 26, 1937 at Jesup, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1993.
Elsie is survived by two brothers, Earl Andorf of Lodi, California and Robert (Shirley) Andorf of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and five nieces and seven nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; six sisters, Alvina Wilson, Ruth Freel, Martha Hightower, Emilie Caldwell, Dora Petrie and Louise Andorf, and three brothers, Theodore, LeRoy and Chris Andorf.
Funeral services were Thursday, April 20, 2006, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorial may be directed to the family.
