Elsie F. Mcdonald

Elsie F. McDonald, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center. She was born May 13, 1922 in Traer, Iowa, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Chizek) Moravec. Elsie married Claude McDonald on November 6, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1985. Elsie was a cook at the Janesville Café for several years, retiring in 1987. Survivors include two sons, Larry (Lonna) Moravec of Marshalltown, Iowa and Claude (Sharon) McDonald of Janesville; a daughter, Rose (Garland) Diesburg, of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents and husband; three brothers, John, Anton and Tony Moravec, and two sisters, Rose Dieleman and Agnes Thompson. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Janesville.
