Elsie Lee Kopel

Elsie L Kopel, 106, died Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Stanard Assisted Living, Western Home, Cedar Falls. She was born April 11, 1911 in Tama  County, Iowa, the daughter of J. Clyde and Rosa (Hargan) Williams. Elsie married Cletus L. Kopel  March 6, 1948 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death August 8, 1989. She attended the Reinbeck schools. Elsie was employed by A & L. Bakery and Black's Bakery, retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Gates Park Ladies Golf Association and Blessed Sacrament Church.

She is survived by seventeen nieces and nephews. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Lester, Raymond, and Russell Williams; two sister, Geneva gloe and Alleen Ledtje.

Elsie  enjoyed playing "500" and Bingo, visiting with friends and family and playing golf. At the age of 90 she was still playing golf twice a week.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Western Home Chapel in Cedar Falls, visitation will be one hour before services at the Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to the Western Home Communities and to  Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Waterloo.
