Elizabeth H. Macgibbon Nelson

Elizabeth Houston MacGibbon Nelson, 103, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Massachusetts and Vero Beach, Florida, died Sunday, October 13, 2019, at NewAldaya Lifescapes.  She was born June 23, 1916 in Haverhill, Massachusetts, the daughter of Donald Leigh and Elizabeth Riddell (Houston) MacGibbon.  Elizabeth married George S. Nelson on August 14, 1937 in Bradford, Massachusetts.  She was a graduate of Haverhill High School in 1933 and Essex Agricultural School in 1934.  Elizabeth was a long time member and past deaconess of Second Congregational Church in West Boxford, Massachusetts, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach.  She belonged to the Rotary Ann Club in Haverhill and the Ladies Charitable Society in West Boxford.

Elizabeth is survived by her two sons, George Joel (Shirley) Nelson of Marietta, Georgia and Glenn T. (Lisa) Nelson of Janesville, Iowa; four grandchildren, Bruce Nelson, Elizabeth (Jeff) Nelson Phillips, Erica Nelson, Bethany Nelson, and three great grandchildren, Emily, Cole and Vivian.
