Eldon Lorenz

Eldon C. Lorenz, 85, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, December 2, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. He was born September 29, 1931 in Lincoln, Iowa, the son of Albert & Frieda (Linder) Lorenz. He married Ruth E. Weber on April 26, 1958 in Nashua, Iowa. She preceded him in death November 12, 2011. Eldon worked for Wayne Engineering for 15 years retiring in 1995.

Survivors include his daughter, Suzanne (Robert) Hampton of Cedar Falls; his two grandchildren, Jamison and Dalton Hampton, both at home; one brother, Albert Lorenz of Reinbeck, Iowa; and one sister-in-law, Darlene Lorenz.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents and wife; two brothers, Delbert and Robert Lorenz and five sisters, Margaret Lorenz, Evelyn Hansen, Lucille Buchholz, Alberta Marts and Virginia Beckwith.

Private graveside services are being planned. Public visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2016 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
