Elaine Ann Pfalzgraf

On Febru ary 20 , 2020, Elaine Pfalzgraf left the family and community she loved.  A lifelong resident of Waterloo and Cedar Falls, Elaine served her community at the local, state, and national level.  She served on the Cedar Falls City Council as Councilmember and Mayor pro-tem for 24 years, was a UNI instructor of social work, the co-founder of the College Hill Neighborhood Association, and served on more that 30 state and local boards and commissions.  Elaine was the President of the Iowa League of Municipalities and served on the Governor's Task Force on Homelessness and the National League of Cities Board.  Elaine retired from the Family Service League after 24 years of providing social work.
