Elaine Cosby

Elaine Cosby, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, October 4, 2014, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She was born September 21, 1931 in Westgate, Iowa, the daughter of Emil and Leona (Fritz) Steege. Elaine married Hilmer Cosby on November 5, 1950 in Sumner, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2003. Elaine was a graduate of Hawkeye High School and was a receptionist and secretary at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home for twenty years, retiring in 1992. She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia (Dan) Brown of Cedar Falls and Elaine Anderson of Klamath Falls, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her son, Charles Cosby. Private inurnment services will be at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens at a later date.
