EDWARD E. LYONS,
50, of Waterloo, Iowa, died of cancer on Monday, September 6, 2004, at Harmony House Health Care Center in Waterloo. He was born November 24, 1953 in Waterloo, the son of Kenneth and Barbara (Van Nice) Lyons. Ed was a 1972 graduate of Waterloo West High School and had been working at Goodwill Industries until the time of his illness.
He is survived by his step-mother, Charlotte Lyons, of Waterloo and his step-father, Allen Benson, of Waterloo; a sister, Cheryl (Jeff) Voelschow of La Porte City, Iowa; four brothers, Michael (Janet) Lyons, Scott (Leigh Ann) Lyons, Kenneth C. "K.C." Lyons and David (Cindy) Lyons, all of Waterloo; and several step-sisters and step-brothers.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nicolette Lyons and a brother, Randy Lyons.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2004, at Orchard Hill Church in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 5—8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Harmony House Health Care Center in Waterloo.
