Edward W Kramer

Edward W. Kramer, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Bickford Cottage in Cedar Falls.  He was born March 1, 1927 in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Frederick W. and Frieda (Freese) Kramer.  Edward was baptized on July 4, 1948.  He married Heidi Fehlmann on June 27, 1953 in Waterloo, Iowa.  She preceded him in death on April 5, 2009.  Edward attended country school near Clarksville, Iowa and farmed for many years in Butler County, Iowa.  He later worked at the University of Northern Iowa for eighteen years, retiring in 1988.

Survivors include his brother, Carl (Valjean) Kramer, of Brooklyn, New York, a sister, Doris Southard, of Cedar Falls, and a nephew, Ron (Carole) Southard of Buena Vista, Colorado.

Edward was preceded in death by his wife and parents, a brother, Alfred Kramer, and a brother-in-law, Talmage Southard.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am Friday, February 12, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1530 Pleasant Valley Dr., Waterloo.  Inurnment will be at Butler Center Cemetery near Allison, Iowa, at a later date.  Memorials may be directed to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1530 Pleasant Valley Dr., Waterloo, IA  50701.  Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
