Edna A. Hamilton, 100, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, September 14, 2014, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. Edna was born October 19, 1913, in Tarkio, Missouri, the daughter of Eli Lester "Jack" & Edna Almeda (Foley) Yoder. She married Elbert W. "Alex" Hamilton on December 21, 1935 at United Presbyterian Church in Tarkio. He preceded her in death February 3, 1995. Edna was past president of ISTCA Faculty Dames and Sartori Auxiliary, was treasurer of Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa, was a member of PEO and the American Association of University Women. Survivors include her daughter, Mary M. "Dargy" Baxter, of Cedar Falls; two grandsons, William McCullough and John McCullough; a niece, Emma (George) Borlace and a nephew, Richard (Karen) Yoder. Edna was preceded in death by her stepmother who raised her, Florence Craigmile Yoder; a daughter, Edna Suzanne McCullough; a brother, Lester (Vivian) Yoder; two sisters, Lena Mae (James P.) McCloy and a sister in infancy; and a nephew, Charles Yoder. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.
