Edith M. Platt, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, January 14, 2017, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls. She was born November 9, 1924 in Sac City, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Sarah Ione (Pruett) Platt. Edith graduated from Sac City High School and worked for Congdon Printing in Cedar Falls as a linotype operator and printer for 45 years, retiring in 1991.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Duane Platt.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017, at NewAldaya Lifescapes Chapel, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be one hour before service at NewAldaya Chapel. Memorials may be directed to NewAldaya Lifescapes Chapel and Cedar Valley Hospice. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
