Edith M. Myers Stutt

Edith M. Myers Stutt, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls. She was born April 2, 1920 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Peter and Esther (Jorgensen) Therkelsen. Edith married Edward Myers on May 10, 1946 in Cedar Falls, and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1976. She later married John Stutt on June 4, 1994 in Cedar Falls, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2000. Edith was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and worked at Rath Packing Company in Waterloo for thirty-two years, retiring in 1982. Survivors include her son, Peter (Kathy) Myers, of Waterloo, two grandchildren, Breanne Myers of Evansdale and Peter Jon Myers of Des Moines, and one great grandchild, Hope Myers, of Evansdale. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and a brother, John Therkelsen. Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Waterloo Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
