EARL FRANCIS BRUSH, 92, of Waterloo, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, November 29, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, Iowa. He was born May 22, 1914 in Brooklyn, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Frances (Kvala) Brush. Earl served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Dorothy Elizabeth Peimann April 7, 1940 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He farmed for many years and also was in the construction business. Before his retirement he was chief draftsman with the Cedar Falls Utilities. Earl and his wife, Dorothy, owned and operated Ridgeway Ceramics for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Waterloo; two daughters, Judy (Vaughn) Griffith of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Linda (Tracy) Yost of Redman, Washington; three grandchildren, Vaughn (Courtney) Griffith, Mark (Amy) Yost and Sara (Casey) LaCroix and great grand daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Griffith.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Leola Christiansen and Sarah Olson.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a. m. Saturday, December 2, 2006, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with inurnment at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2006, at the funeral home and one hour before service on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to the family.
