DOROTHY EVELYN SWEET, 82, of Rochester, Minnesota and formerly of Cedar Falls died Thursday, August 21, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born February 9, 1921 in Cedar Falls, Iowa the daughter of Carl & Maleta (Dick) Behrens. She married Allen E. Sweet February 9, 1941 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1960. Dorothy was a Registered Nurse at Rochester Methodist Hospital retiring in January 1986.
Survivors include her son, Larry Sweet of Ottumwa, her daughter, Linda Mally of Roboro, North Carolina, 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one brother, Kenneth (Marjorie) Behrens and her sister, Margaret Behrens both of Cedar Falls. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Dale Behrens.
A Graveside Service was held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, August 25, 2003 at Hillcrest Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls.
