DOROTHY H.
SCHUCK 100, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, January 3, 2005, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls. She was born November 28, 1904 in Bethany, Missouri, the daughter of Wesley & Edna (Premer) Cox. She married Herman Schuck at the Little Brown Church near Nashua, Iowa. She graduated from Bethany High School in Bethany, Mo and attended both Southwest Missouri State University and Northwest Missouri State University. Dorothy taught school, farmed with her husband near New Hartford for many years, and was the Post Mistress in New Hartford for 12 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, The Eastern Star, and the Women's Club, all in New Hartford.
Survivors include two sons, Richard (Rita) Schuck of Davenport, Iowa and Tom of Helena, Montana; one daughter, Nancy (Larry) Strickler of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, a son, Jerry Schuck and a brother, Murray Cox.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2005, at First United Methodist Church in New Hartford with interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg. Memorials may be directed to Western Home Communities or the church.
