Dorothy Jane Graves

Dorothy Jane Graves, 81, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at her home. She was born August 18, 1936 in Clarksville, Iowa the daughter of David and Bessie (Curtis) Aswegen. Dorothy married Lawrence Russell Graves December 5, 1956 in Aplington, Iowa and he preceded her in death November 12, 2013. She graduated from Ackley High School. Dorothy Worked for Farm Bureau and Vocational Rehab for 20 years, retiring in 1998.

She is survived by two sons, Tim (Mary) Graves, of Cedar Falls and Tom (Barb) Graves. of Waterloo; three daughters, Tammi (Tim) Staudt, of Cedar Falls, Terri (Mike) Joines, of Des Moines, and Traci (Troy) Faulkner, of Bryron, Minnesota; and ten grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, James Aswegen and one sister, Fran Van Horn.

Funeral services will be10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Orchard Hill Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7;00 p.m. Friday, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral home and one hour before services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital .
