Doris Posekany

Doris M. Posekany, 86, of New Hartford, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She was born December 22, 1928 in New Hartford, the daughter of C. Henry & Sylvia M.(McDonald) Hanson. Doris married Ralph Posekany on April 27, 1949 in New Hartford. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1995. Survivors include her son, Bruce (Charlene) Posekany, of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Chris H. (Michelle) Posekany, of Cedar Falls and Sarah B. Posekany, of Waterloo; four great grandchildren, Tristan, Madison, Alexander and Hannah; and a sister, Kathryn Dix, of Waverly. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a granddaughter-in-law, Kari (Hansen) Posekany, four sisters, Helen Corwin, Irene Doeden, Jeanette Wolf and Lois Timion, and her brother, Dyre Hanson. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls.
