DORIS M. PETERSON was born September 13, 1915 at Nashua, Iowa, the daughter of Carl A. and Gertrude (Fisher) Simerson. She married Albert F. Peterson on December 14, 1933 at Charles City, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1981. Doris died Monday, February 8, 1999 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa at 83 years of age.
She is survived by her two daughters, Donna White of Weatherford, Texas and Mary Havlik of Frankfort, Indiana; four sons, Albert J. Peterson, Jr., Richard J. Peterson and Donald R. Peterson, all of Cedar Falls, and Curtis J. Peterson of Frankfort, Indiana; thirty grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and her five brothers, Carl of Nora Springs, Iowa, Harold of Boone, Iowa, Forest of Hartford, Iowa, Robert of Des Moines, Iowa and Roger of Yuma, Arizona. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three daughters, Caroline and Katherine in infancy and Marlys Mathes; a son, John C., one granddaughter, three great grandchildren, four sisters, Maude, Ethel, Helen and Ruth and two brothers, Earl and Floyd.
Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 1999 at the funeral home with burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family.
