DORIS E. NICHOLSON, 78, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Sunday, September 17, 2006, at Alexandria, Virginia. She was born March 13, 1928 at Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Evan and Edna (Stowe) Wilson. Doris married Dean C. Nicholson on September 16, 1962 at Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1998. Doris graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1944. She worked at Rath Packing Company, Bride Beautiful, Kemp's Handicraft, and was self-employed as a seamstress, retiring in 1995.Doris is survived by three daughters, Robin Nicholson of Cedar Falls, Deanna (Douglas) Condon of Bloomington, Minnesota and Mary Nicholson (Marisa Corn) of Manassas, Virginia; two grandchildren, and one brother, Ronald Long, of Norwalk, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Richard "Paul" Wilson.
Memorial services will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 30, 2006, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Assoc., the American Heart Assoc. or the American Cancer Society.
