DORIS LOUISE KASISCHKE was born May 25, 1919, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Louis E. and Besse (Broer) Kasischke. She attended New Providence Consolidated School and worked at home. In 1960, Doris moved with her parents to Eldora, Iowa, caring for her them until their death. In 1991, she moved to the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, where she died Saturday, December 23, 2000, at 81 years of age.
Doris is survived by her sister, Audrey Kasischke Freitag of Cedar Falls; her two brothers, Rev. Dean Kasischke of Lake Worth, Florida and Dale Kasischke of Hubbard, Iowa; eleven nieces and nephews and nineteen great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a niece and a nephew.
Family-directed memorial services were 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2000, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel. Inurnment will be at East Lawn Cemetery in Eldora at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel Fund and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora.
