Donna C. King

Donna C. King, 83, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls.  She was born January 23, 1935 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Pauline (Johnson) Klapp.  Donna married Thomas E. King on October 3, 1953 in Waterloo.  He preceded her in death on February 14, 2007.  She attended Waterloo East High School and managed apartments and was owner of King's Hub Restaurant in Cedar Falls.  Donna was an active member of Celebration Assembly of God Church in Waterloo.

She is survived by her four sons, William (Kim) King of Cedar Falls, Tom (Nancy) King of Waterloo, Don (Patty) King and Danny King, both of Cedar Falls; a granddaughter she raised, Tami King, of Cedar Falls; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three brothers, Ed (Marilyn) Klapp of Galesburg, Illinois, Bruce (Becky) Klapp of Dows, Iowa, Max Klapp of Frankfort, Illinois; three sisters, Sandra (Bob) O'Connor of Marion, Iowa, Tonya (Duane) Ogg of Inverness, Florida, Dee Alexander of Weldon, North Carolina, and a sister-in-law, Carole Klapp, of Galesburg, Illinois.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a daughter, Paula Jean King; a son, Thomas King, Jr.; two grandchildren; two brothers, David and Bill Klapp, and a sister, Earlyne Harvey.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2018, at Celebration Assembly of God Church, with burial at Garden of Memories, both in Waterloo.  Visitation will be 2—4:00 p.m. Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church on Monday.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
