Donita Y. Doud, 77, of Waterloo, died Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer. She was born January 4,1935 in Hooker, Oklahoma, the daughter of Herman and Mattie (Jones) Hitchcock. Donita married James Munkres August 20, 1952 and they were later divorced. She married Jimmie Doud June 11, 1983. She is survived by husband Jimmie Doud of Traer, one daughter, Debra (James) Ehlers, of Park City, Kansas; one grandson; three step children, Kevin (Wendy) Doud, Kris (John) Holst and Kerry (Mike) Less; eight step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren; two brothers Franklin and Cecil Hitchcock;, and two sisters Carolyn Sue (Dave) Falke, of Liberal, Kansas and Sharon Lou (Henry) Mussman, of Hooker, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Larry Munkres; eight brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2012 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Waterloo. Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof funeral Home in Cedar Falls and one hour before services Monday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.
