Donald "Ernie" Zimmer, 53, of 7825 Ford Road died Sunday, April 14, 2002 at his home of natural causes.
He was born December 26, 1948 in Charles City, Iowa the son of Donald V. and Katherine (Simmons) Zimmer. Mr. Zimmer graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, and was employed at Kay Park Industries in Janesville.
Survived by: his partner, Judy Holm of Cedar Falls; her son, Darald Holm at home; two sons, McCaine of St. Louis, MO and Damon of Overland Park, Kansas; a daughter, Alana Zimmer of Minneapolis, MN; two brothers, Michael Wheeler of Ashburn, VA, and David Zimmer of Mabel, MN; and four sisters, Deborah Hughes and Renee Russett, both of Frankville, Iowa, Kim Hageman of Cresco, Iowa, and Lesia Stuelke of Cemter Point, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two daughters, Terri and Tammi, both in infancy.
Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and Cremation Service, with inurnment at a later date.
