DONALD I. MALM
was born March 13, 1927 in Lindsborg, Kansas, the son of Emmett and Myrtle (Borgstrom) Malm. He served in the u. S. Army during world War II. He worked for John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa as an Engineer for 33 years, retiring on November 30, 1984. He married Fern M Clark, January 26, 1951, in McPherson, Kansas. Donald died Sunday, November 21, 2004 at his home in Cedar Falls, Iowa, at the age of 77 years.
He is survived by his wife, Fern of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two sons, David (Sandy) Malm of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Neil (Robyn) Malm of Rochester, MN.; two daughters, Eileen (Rick) Crotty and Kathy (John) Wyss both of Cedar Falls, Iowa; one son-in-law Doug (Diane) Brenneman of Parnell, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, Heather, Holly and her husband, Will, Nicole, Joe, Will, Stephanie, Sara, Maureen, Brent, Eric and Cassie; one brother, Bert (Marilyn) Malm and one sister Marge (Norman) Shogren both of Lindsborg, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Vickie Brenneman.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be given to Cedar Valley Hospice or Nazareth Lutheran Church.
