DONALD L. LAUGHLIN
,
73, of Cedar Falls, died January 11, 2005, in Tucson, Arizona. He was born December 29, 1931 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Edward and Pearl (Berry) Laughlin. Donald was a 1950 graduate of Waterloo West High School and a 1956 graduate of Iowa State Teachers College (UNI). He married Katherine A. Riha on June 23, 1962 in Vinton, Iowa. Donald worked for M. D. Diemer Company until 1970 and for the last 30 years worked for Skate Country, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine, of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Lisa (Brian) Rosteck of Marion, Iowa, Laura (Daniel) Porter of Clive, Iowa and Mary (Blair) Johnson of Scottsdale, Arizona; and two grandchildren, Reagan and Emerson Porter.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2005, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to The University Of Iowa, Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4550,Iowa City, Iowa 52244-4550, In memory of Donald Laughlin.
