Donald Benton Crinklaw, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at the Western Home Communities Stanard Family Assisted Living Center. He was born September 3, 1925 at Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of Glen Benton and Vesta I. (Wilson) Crinklaw. Donald was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and served in the US Navy during WW II. He was an Inspector with the Iowa Department of Transportation for many years.
Survivors include a brother, Robert Glenn (LaWanda M.) Crinklaw, of Cedar Falls, four nephews, Robert (Imelda) Crinklaw, Daniel Crinklaw, James (Cynthia) Crinklaw and John Crinklaw, and a niece, Linda Jane (Jack) Rupp. Donald was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Visitation will be one hour before service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls.
