DONALD L. BROWN, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. He was born February 28, 1920 near Waterloo, Iowa, the son of William and Lucy (Bittinzer) Brown. Donald married Eleanor G. Malam on December 17, 1939 in Waverly, Iowa. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2006. Donald attended Orange Township School and worked at John Deere & Company for 38 years, retiring on April 1, 1982. He was a member of the UAW Local 838.
Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (Dick) Daniels, of Cedar Falls, two grandchildren, Brenda (Jim) Lenius of Waterloo and Staci (Steven) Jones of Parker, Colorado, and five great grandchildren, Brandie and Levi Lenius and Sierra, Savannah and Sebastian Jones.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife and parents, three brothers, Homer, Floyd and Joe Brown, and two sisters, Orpha Price and Edna Clough.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, February 16, 2007, at Prairie Lakes Church in Cedar Falls, with interment at Washington Chapel Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4—7:00 pm Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, 266-7525, and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the church.
