Dixie Siebel

Dixie Kay Siebel, 67, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, October 21, 2013, at Manorcare Health Services in Waterloo. She was born June 7, 1946 in Waterloo, the daughter Lowell and Armilda (McNeal) Teckenburg. Dixie married Richard J. Siebel on February 24, 1968 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waterloo. Dixie graduated from North Tama High School in Traer, Iowa and Pitze's Beauty School. Survivors include her husband, Richard Siebel, of Cedar Falls; a son, Todd Siebel, of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Tami (Ken) Peverill, of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren; four brothers, Jerry Teckenburg of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Barry Benham of Shell Rock, Iowa, Blaine (Terri) Benham of Denver, Iowa, Denny Benham of Des Moines, Iowa, and three sisters, Pam (Chuck) Austin of Denver, Iowa, Mary Dietz of Shell Rock, Iowa and Cindy (Dwight) Hansen of Bloomington, Illinois. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents and the grandmother who raised her, Inez McNeal. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2013, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parrish Church in Eagle Center, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, where a 4:00 p.m. Rosary Service will be conducted. Visitation also one hour before service at the church. Interment will be Monday, October 28, 2013, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to Unity Point Hospice or the Cedar Bend Humane Society.
