Dick Van Mill
March 9, 1903 — March 10, 1999
DICK VAN MILL was born March 9, 1903 near Buck Grove, Iowa, the son of John and Hilda (Schutte) Van Mill. He was saved January 4, 1925. Dick married Froney De Buhr on January 5, 1926 at New Hartford, Iowa. He and Froney were received into assembly fellowship at Stout. In 1986 Dick and Froney moved to Linn Manor Care Center in Marion, Iowa. She preceded him in death on December 14, 1988. Dick was a building contractor for many years in the New Hartford, Stout and Cedar Falls area. He died Wednesday, March 10, 1999 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at 96 years of age.
Dick is survived by his son, Richard Van Mill and his wife Pauline of Shell Rock, Iowa; his two daughters, Elaine Rossow and her husband Donald of Marion, Iowa and Helene Harmon and her husband Ken of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents; two brothers, George and Cornelius "C.J." Van Mill and a great grandson, Jon Harmon.Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 1999 at the Stout Gospel Hall in Stout, Iowa, with burial at Beaver Grove Cemetery near New Hartford, Iowa. A memorial fund has been established.
