Dennis R. Gutknecht

Dennis R. Gutknecht, 67, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls.  Dennis was born July 21, 1950 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, the son of Roger & Joyce (Harting) Gutknecht.  He married Barb Lee October 11, 1978 in Texas.  Dennis was a mechanic with Nutri-Ject Systems in Hudson, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Barb Gutknecht of Cedar Falls; his son, Clint (Ann) Gutknecht of Reinbeck, Iowa; two daughters, Dawn (David) Pietro of Huachuca, City, Arizona and Kriston (Terry Aguilar) Faulkner of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren, Kristina, Andrew, Chad, Cheyanne, Ashley and Kerri; three great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Camron and Cheyenne; one brother, Phillip (Carol) Gutknecht of Redland, California and one sister, Paula Carter of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Chad; one brother, Gary; and two sisters, Deloris and Beverly.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Hudson with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
