David E Eicher, age 72, passed away at Oak Park Assisted Living Thursday, January 25, 2024.  He was born November 24, 1951, in Rochester, Minnesota to his parents, Dan and Patricia Eicher. His mother passed away in 1973 and his father later married Mildred Johnson Quam.

Dave attended Cedar Falls High School, Hawkeye Institute of Technology and after his military service, University of Iowa, receiving his Electrical Engineer degree.

Dave served in the Army (1972-1974) and was honorably discharged in 1978. He married Sally Henning in 1973 and they had a son, Andrew Eicher.  Dave and Irina Bondarevich were married in 1996 in Russia.

Dave was an Electrical Engineer for Rockwell Collins from 1974 to 2015. He had many interests throughout his life: construction, sailing, flying planes, skiing, volleyball, building electrical projects, playing guitar and piano, singing and especially, time with his family and fellowship with the friends including those in Russia & Ukraine.

Dave renewed his vows in 1998 to serve the Lord and remained true to that choice to the end.

Dave is survived by his wife, Irina, his first wife Sally and their son, Andy (Sarah) and grandchildren Tenley & Lauryn of Robins, IA, his parents, Dan & Mildred, mother-in-law, Faina Bondarevich, sister-in-law, Svetlana Petrenko, siblings Janis (Jim) Swanson of Cedar Falls and Karen Eicher currently in Romania/Ukraine, Sue (Don) Lang, Jim (Linda) Quam & Karen (Kevin) Hartman all of CO and many precious nieces , nephews and cousins.

Dave was proceeded in death by his mother,  Pat, his sister, Terri Younger, and brother-in -law, Terry Younger and his father-in-law, Nikolai Bondarevich & brother-in-law, Vitaliy Petrenko.
