DAVID W.
EHLERT 68, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at his home in Cedar Falls. He was born March 21, 1937 at Sumner, Iowa, the son of Walter F. and Sophia H. (Hansen) Ehlert. He married Carroll Teigler on April 4, 1959 in Cedar Falls, and they were later divorced. He married Sharon Neal on April 24, 1993, and they were later divorced. David worked for John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo, Iowa, and retired in 1995.
He is survived by two sons, Jon Ehlert and Jeff (Lori) Ehlert, both of Katy, Texas, and one daughter, Jodi K. Perry, of Waterloo, Iowa; four grandchildren, John and Josh Mercurio and Abby and Ashley Ehlert; his mother, Sophia Ehlert, of Cedar Falls, and one brother, Harlan (Elsie) Ehlert, of Cedar Falls.
David was preceded in death by his father in 1980.
Funeral services were Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established.
