Dave F Sands

DAVE FRANK SANDS, 58, of Cedar Falls, died of pancreatic cancer at home on Monday, November 21, 2005. He was born August 23, 1947 in Cedar Falls, the son of William B. and Irma (Whitney) Sands. He married Linda Billman and they later divorced. Dave married Sherry Ahlhelm on August 4, 1990 in Cedar Falls. He was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and was employed at Viking Pump Company in Cedar Falls for 33 years.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry, of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Shelly (David) Menning and Missy Harding, both of Cedar Falls; a son, Larry (Grace) King of Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Eugene Harding, Bullet Harding, Courtney Sands, Xenia King, Cheyenne Harding, Dylan Sands and Makenzie King; two sisters, Evelyn Turner and Pat Graham, both of Cedar Falls; a brother, Harold (Bev) Sands of Cedar Falls, and many nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Shirley Sands; two brothers, Vernon and Donald Sands, and a brother-in-law, Larry Graham.
