Daryl Duane Drew

Daryl Duane Drew, 70, of Waterloo, passed away at MercyOne/Covenant Medical Center on Monday, November 1, 2021. He was born April 2, 1951, in Waterloo, son of Earl and Marva (Smith) Drew. Daryl graduated from East High School with the Class of 1970. He met his soulmate, Amy Rae Livingston, in April of 1978 at the Rollerdrome in Cedar Falls and the couple was married on August 26, 1978, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Daryl worked for Waterloo Industries, Black Hawk Engineering and Bertch Cabinet before retiring in 2010. Ever the hard worker, he, then, worked part-time for Taco Johns to fill his time.

Daryl is survived by his wife of 43 years, Amy, of Waterloo; his children: Troy (Emily) Drew of Shell Rock, Crystal Weich of Cedar Falls, Adam (Kyle) Drew of Calmar and Sally Drew of Waterloo; grandchildren: Walker, Dustin, Kirk, Summer and William; brother, Earl "Skip" Drew of Waterloo; and sister, Carolyn Drew of Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Hoffman; and granddaughter, Marianna Guess.

Daryl's Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Jordan Crossing of Cedar Falls with burial to follow at Washington Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-6:00 pm on Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Family and condolences left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .

Daryl enjoyed bowling and was very patriotic.  Above all else, he loved spending time with his family, especially, his grandchildren.
