Darlys Hansen

Darlys M. Hansen, 70, of New Hartford, died Monday, September 19, 2016, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home In Waterloo. She was born September 29, 1945 in Fredericksburg, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Marie (Schaub) Joachim. Darlys married Leonard Hansen on December 29, 1967 in Fredericksburg. She was a farm wife and a secretary for 30 years at the University of Northern Iowa. Darlys was a member of P.T.S.O., Dollars for Scholars and 4-H Club.

Darlys is survived by her husband, Leonard Hansen, of New Hartford; her daughter, Heidi (Todd Frost) Hansen, of Cedar Falls; her two sons, Darin Hansen of New Hartford and Ryan (Jill) Hansen of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Deanna, Blake and Nicholas Hudson, and a sister, Joyce (Lloyd) Warnke, of Fredericksburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4—7:00 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the church.
