Darline Short

Darline Short, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Sartori Memorial Hospital. Darline was born October 22, 1930, in Clarksville, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur & Dorotha (Meskimen) Fisher. She married Robert Short November 9, 1948, at Correctionville, Iowa. He preceded her in death March 23, 2004. Survivors include her son, Robert Cary (Chris) Short, of International Falls, Minnesota; three daughters, Kathy (Jim) Sealman, of Reinbeck, Iowa, Kelley (Stephen) Busch, of Denver, Iowa and Kayann (Pete) Lilja, of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two brothers, Dale (Dorothy) Fisher, of Cedar Falls, and Arlos (Tempest) Fisher, of Cedar Falls. Darline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Wade and Alan Fisher. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013, at First United Methodist Church with inurnment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, at a later date. Public visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church and one hour prior to service time on Monday. Memorials may be directed to the Girl Scouts of America or First United Methodist Church. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
