Danell Marie Kittelson, 60, of Waterloo, passed away, following a short illness, at UnityPoint Health/Allen Hospital.  She was born in Waterloo on July 16, 1963, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Burke) Cronin.  Danell graduated from Cedar Falls High School with the Class of 1981, then studied at Hawkeye Community College.  She married Michael Kittelson on July 6, 1985.  They later divorced.

Danell was extremely personable and connected easily with people.  She accepted and cherished others, simply, for who they are without judgment, and with great loyalty.  Danell enjoyed music, games and movies, especially comedies.  She loved to laugh and smile and to make other people laugh and smile.  Danell was a talented artist with a real flair for sketching.  She was a good cook and really liked to reminisce over family stories and memories.

Danell was preceded in death by her father; her sons, Keith Michael (in infancy) and Kent Mario; her brother, Stephen Cronin; and a niece, Ashley Wiley.  She is survived by her mother, Mary Sybil (William) Tedore of Cedar Falls; sons, Chad Cronin of Cedar Falls and Kody Kittelson of Glendale, Arizona; siblings: Denise Bolton of Waterloo, Deann Dibble of Seattle, Washington and Stanley (Julie Isley) Cronin of Waterloo.

Danell's Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with an hour of Visitation prior. She will be buried at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be directed to the Family.
