Dale L Slaughter

DALE LESTER SLAUGHTER,  JR. was born October 15, 1922 in Jesup, Iowa the son of Dale L. Slaughter Sr. and Eunice (Cook) Slaughter. He married Lois Singleton December 18, 1942 at Waterloo, Iowa. Dale was a machinist at John Deere retiring in 1985 after 44 years of service. He died Wednesday, October 6, 1999, at his home at the age of 76 years.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Slaughter of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two sons, Jeffrey Slaughter and his wife, Jen, of Union, Iowa, John Slaughter and his wife, Laura, of Montgomery, Illinois; three daughters, Linda Moore of Waterloo, Iowa, Mary Slaughter of Cedar Falls, and Caroline Slaughter of Waterloo; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Dale was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Dale R. Slaughter, and one brother, Lee Slaughter.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 8, 1999, at St. John Lutheran Church with private family inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
