Dale Muir Renner, 82, of Toledo and formerly of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Sunday, September 16, 2007, at Grandview Acres in Toledo. He was born March 22, 1925 in rural Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of Burton F. and Zatha Muir Renner. Dale married LaVonne Kathryn Lynch on August 14, 1949 in Grundy Center, Iowa. He was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and farmed for many years near Cedar Falls and Reinbeck. Dale was past president of the Reinbeck Coop and the Reinbeck Rural Fire Association. He was a member of the Tama County Pork Producers, the Tama County Beef Producers, and the Tama County Farm Bureau. Dale was also a member of the Corn Masonic Lodge and the Amity Presbyterian Church, both in Reinbeck.
Survivors include his wife, LaVonne Renner, of Toledo; a son, Michael D. Renner, of Le Grand, Iowa; a daughter, Kimberly Renner, of Montezuma, Iowa; a brother, Burton "Joe" (Marcia) Renner, of Cedar Falls; a sister, Sharon (Sid) Sickles, of Guttenburg, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Carol and Hazel Renner, both of Cedar Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clark and Robert Renner.

Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with interment at Washington Chapel Cemetery, rural Janesville. Visitation will be 5-7:00 pm Tuesday, and one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
