Dale L Duff

Dale Leslie Duff, 53, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, December 2, 2010, at the University of Iowa  Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City. He was born July 5, 1957 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of George L. & Lucy Ann (Gardner) Duff.  He married Paula Frahm in 1976 and they later divorced. Dale married Nonie Kattelman on July 1, 1989 at St. John Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.  He was employed as an independent contract carrier for the Waterloo Courier and as a contract carrier for Advanced Systems.  Dale was also employed as a cashier and stockperson for the University Avenue Hy-Vee in Waterloo.

He is survived by his wife, Nonie, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Timothy (Valerie) Duff and Adam Duff, both of Augusta, Kansas; two daughters, Allison Duff and Makayla Taylor, both of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Shelby, Braedon and Halie Duff, and three sisters, Sarah (Bruce) Reinhart, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Linda (Richard) Pint, of Waterloo, and Kathy (Richard) Schultz, of Jasper, Georgia.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Betty Ann Duff.

Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Saturday, December 4, 2010, at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral and for one hour prior to service time at the church on Saturday.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.  The family requests that those attending the service wear Iowa Hawkeye attire.
