Dale J. Clark, 94, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, August 7, 2015, at Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Care Center. He was born October 10, 1920, in Elma, Iowa, the son of Edward & Margaret (Hamill) Clark. Dale married Inez Evans April 24, 1942, in Elma and she preceded him in death December 17, 2001. He served in the United States Army during WWII and graduated from Gates Business College. Dale worked for John G. Miller Construction Company, was founder and president of Dale J. Clark Contracting Company, and was a founder of Rampart Corp., retiring in 1990. He was a member of Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49, the Waterloo Elks Club and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include three daughters, Sally Sullivan, of Cedar Falls, Judy (Dick) Nelson, of Hampton, Iowa and Karen Kuehn, of Bristol, Wisconsin; two sons, Dennis (Mary) Clark, of Waterloo and Doug Clark, of Grundy Center, Iowa, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one brother, Jim (Cheri) Clark, of Plymouth, Iowa. Dale was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter in law, Laura Clark; his brother, Fr. Bill Clark; and his sister, Mary Young. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Military Honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral home with a Rosary Service at 4:00 p.m. Visitation also one hour before service at the church.
