DAGNY H. CORWIN,
85, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, January 4, 2005, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. She was born November 7, 1919 at Dike, Iowa, the daughter of Hans M. and Jensine (Christoffersen) Hansen. Dagny married Donald M. Corwin on August 6, 1941 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2001.
Dagny is survived by two sons, Charles R. (Linda) Corwin of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Chester H. Corwin of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Carol J. (Jason) Evans of Moraga, California; six grandchildren, Greg (Shana) Ellis, Shelli (Darin) Behara, Astonia Corwin, Chad (Sara) Corwin, Nicole Corwin and Bryan Corwin; two great-granddaughters, Maria and A'Kari; and two brothers, Dr. Harry (Phyllis) Hansen of Marshalltown, Iowa and Donald (Joan) Hansen of Post Falls, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two sisters, Margrethe Land and Marcella Mathews, and a brother, Chris Hansen.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2005, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls.
