Cora E Staley

Coral Edith Staley, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, September 8, 2006, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo. She was born November 20, 1917, the daughter of Fred and Mabel (Shinning) Knapp. Edith married Walter N. Staley June 28, 1942 in Janesville, Iowa. He preceded her in death June 16, 1996. She was an active member of St. Timothy's United Methodist Church, loved genealogy, quilting, gardening and her button club.

Edith is survived by one son, Patrick (Pam) Staley, of Marion, Iowa; three daughters, Judith (Lynn) Von Kaenel of Savannah, Missouri, Cindith (Harry) Petersen of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Kandith Staley of Plains, Montana; six grandchildren, Randy, Brandy, Brock, Caleb, Katy and Tami; seven great grandchildren, Baylee, Christian, Kelsie, Simone, Heyley, Trevor and Lilly; and one sister, Ethel Roever, of Janesville, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, George and Robert.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at St. Timothy's United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2006, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to St. Timothy's United Methodist Church.
