Claudia M. Sommerlund

Claudia M. Sommerlund, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo. She was born January 24, 1920 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Claude and Ethel (Devereaux) Stone. Claudia served in the U.S. Army during WW II. She married William Sommerlund on March 24, 1950 in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2000. She is survived by her son, Paul Sommerlund, of Cedar Falls, and a step brother, Ed Stone. Claudia was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
