Clara F Southall

CLARA FRANCES SOUTHALL , 104, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, August 15, 2004, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. She was born January 3, 1900 in Irwin, Iowa the daughter of William B. & Mary E. (Edwards) Rank. She married William A. Southall March 12, 1917 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death June 26, 1956.

Survivors include 13 grandchildren, including John (Holly) Southall and Andrea (Wade) Clark, all of Cedar Falls, 24 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sons, Donald & Howard Southall; one daughter, Gail Idso; one grandson, one great grandson; two brothers, Willis and LeRoy Rank; and two sisters, Hallie Olson and Hazel Clark.

Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2004, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. A private family service was held Friday. Interment took place at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. A memorial fund will be established.
